Hello and welcome to https://mentalhealthmatters.me/.
This website is a work in progress and is only in its infancy as of Tue Apr 22 13:19:44 CDT 2025.
As such, I literally threw together a rough outline of things I’m considering touching upon on the subject in the left navigation bar of this website.

Took me a long time1 to finally figure out that mania actually sucks. It’s destructive. It’s mean. It’s self-reenforcing. It’s demoralizing to others. It’s SELFISH to the core!
At the end of the day, it’s not “them” that has the problem… it’s “you!” Never forget that!
Either accept it, or live with the fact that others are suffering because of your holier-than-thou, I-know-better-than-them, self-righteous attitude!
If things get too bad, and you’ve managed to drive off everyone else who matters in your life, then who do you have left to blame but yourself?!? Hmm?!? … ?!?!? … !!!
Don’t blame others when you’re the one being the idiot!

Over 2+ years now since I came to that conclusion in case you were wondering. Have I had my struggles with mania - as well as its unwavering counterpart, depression- since that time? You bet! I’d be lying if I said I haven’t. As the old Verizon company motto once hailed, “Make progress every day.” That’s provided that “that day” is a “good day.” Those of “like mind” will fully understand where I’m going with that. For those left scratching their heads thinking, “what is this guy even talking about?”, which, granted is by far the majority of today’s society, I would please just ask that you take this footnote with a grain of [proverbial] salt. I think we can all agree that it’s impossible to walk in someone else’s shoes. So please, just allow me to leave it at that, at least for now. ↩
